15 years ago CNJE initiated a new geographical dimension to the Junior Enterprise concept: JADE

JADE is the European Confederation of Junior Enterprises, which now regroups 225 Junior Enterprises in 13 European countries in addition to partnerships established with the Brazilian sister-network Brazil Junior and the first African JE initiative South African Junior Enterprise.
“JADE is promoting the Junior Enterprise concept to third parties, ensuring constant quality of its members and offering a platform for knowledge transfer. We provide extensive support and coordination to our international network in order to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among students during their higher education.”
This mission statement makes JADE a Kaleidoscope whose benefits depend on the perspective taken. For Junior Enterprises initiating the concept to a new country, JADE provides support with its enlargement program in form of handbooks, representation towards institutions, such as Universities and contacts with the business world. For well-developed Junior Enterprises, JADE offers a platform for the exchange of knowledge, know-how and best practices. Further, on numerous events, such as the World Conference, which in 2008 will take place in Porto Portugal (www.jewc08.com) students have the opportunity to develop their professional and personal skills in workshops and interact with fellow Junior Entrepreneurs with different cultural backgrounds.
